November 2015 - There is H.O.P.E.

I hope your part of the world has had fantastic fall weather like we have had here in B.C.! The beautiful fall colors,with the blue sky and puffy white clouds make for a picture perfect season.

Harvest is complete for 2015. Now we gear up for packaging, and making plans for how we can improve what we do and how we do it.

Wishing all of you a warm fall season and "Happy Thanksgiving" to our neighbors to the south!

"There is H.O.P.E."

This month I wanted to offer you some HOPE! The acronym stands for:

H = Hormones
O = Oxygen
P = Phytonutrients
E = Enzymes

As winter approaches we usually find ourselves eating more cooked foods. But one of the downsides to cooking your food is that we lose the H.O.P.E.

So today I want to share a bit about why we should really consider making the effort to add MORE raw, live foods into our daily lives. Besides, "adding" to your diet feels better than taking stuff away from the foods you are so used to eating.

"H" is for Hormones

Hormones are the messengers to start the cells into action. They do everything! They send chemical signals to regulate various processes in your body.

"O" is for Oxygen

The adage is, "If you can smell it you have lost it"! Your cells need oxygen to turn food into energy, to reproduce and basically perform all of the cells tasks.

"P" is for Phytonutrients

Basically, plant nutrients such as carotene and lycopene. They are what provide the rainbow of vibrant colors in fruits and veggies. These phytonutrients help to prevent disease. There have been more than 10,000 of these nutrients found in plant foods.

"E" is for Enzymes

In short, enzymes act like chemical scissors, cutting large insoluble food molecules into smaller soluble products. Enzymes are the catalyst! If you aren't getting enough H.O.P.E in the food you eat, then you have lost hope!

The human body requires certain basic nutrients in order to function correctly. It isn't surprising that there has been such a proliferation of disease in our North American cultures.

Those of you who are regularly eating our organic Alfalfa powder or organic Alfalfa powder in veggie capsules are well on your way!

All of our good "green stuff" i.e. our organic Alfalfa powder, organic Olive Leaf powder and our organic Green Stevia powder are dried naturally to retain all their nutrient and thus retain their "RAW" status!

Do yourself a favor, add some fresh carrot sticks or fresh snap peas or cucumber to your plate or lunch bag. (Try to avoid the foods grown in hothouses. Most of these are grown in chemicals)

How about a nice piece or two of fruit?

Did you know that tree-fruit has more nutritional benefits to offer you due to its deep roots?

That is also one of the major benefits of our alfalfa plants...their deep roots can go down to 100 feet or more and pull up virgin nutrition that most other plants can not even get to!!

Consider replacing a meal with our "Morning Motivator" green smoothie or adding it as a hearty snack to your DAILY routines. The energy you will feel will be bonus!!

All the ingredients are raw loaded with life-force...

You will be surprised what an amazing job the cells of your body can perform as they receive the benefit of real food bursting with H.O.P.E.!!!

The options are endless. Play with your food and have fun!
