February 2017 - Bone Broth?

Hi Folks!

I trust you all stayed healthy throughout the winter season so far. I know I made sure to be extra diligent about taking my Olive Leaf Powder.

As I write this note to you the -24 Celsius temps (11 degrees F) have faded away, we are back in the single digit plus temps 7 C (44 F) for now. The 70 kilometer per hour  (44 mph) winds have subsided after a three day onslaught.

Beside the wind creating a few, meter-deep (39 inches) snow drifts and the enormous piles of tumbleweeds (2 to 3 feet across each tumbleweed) which have wedged themselves between the buildings and on the fence lines, life is great!

It feels good to see the green & brown grass again. Let's hope the snow is done for the season.

What is this craze about Bone Broth?

I have been hearing about Bone Broth from beef cattle for the better part of a year. Please help me to understand why people would look to the over-cooked bones of a dead animal raised on GMO'd feed, laced with hormones, pesticides, herbicides and has stood in their own feces their whole life, for nutrition for the human body?

Your body is just as capable of making the nutrients YOU need from quality grown green plants, i.e. organic Alfalfa, that the cow would have eaten if left to its own natural ways. Alfalfa actually has MORE protein than beef. Where do you think the cow got its protein? Cows don't eat cows!!!

I will get off my soap box now. I know you are all intelligent people out there. I encourage you to "THINK" before you eat! There is so much B.S. (pun intended) out there. Try to keep in mind that the closer to a whole plant food the better for your body.

My personal opinion is that if you want a hot soup to deliver comfort & nutrition to you on a cold winter day, create a home made vegetable broth.

I "sacrifice" my home-grown frozen organic tomatoes to make a broth. I add a little water to the frozen tomatoes, all my spices, and let the broth simmer until it starts to make the first sign of  little bubbles (no boiling liquids in my kitchen, it kills all the enzymes!)

Then add all your chopped up veggies and a few pre-cooked grains or beans if you like, then stir well. Serve when the veggies are still tender-crisp. That way you get the flavor AND the nutrients, too!

In closing, my research on the benefits "they" say you receive from bone broth can easily be "cleaner" and more compactly found in organic Alfalfa Leaf powder. The benefits of raw, organic Alfalfa Leaf powder far exceeds the nutrients found in any cooked animal product.
